The Life of an Unemployee

Or: Idle Hands are the Devil’s Playthings

As I thumbed through the channels last night debating what to watch, I stumbled across a movie called “The Weight of Water” on HBO. It was 12:30 a.m., and any reasonable person would have been going to bed. I however, have no job, so I said to my self, “self. You have no job. Watch this movie. I heard that Elizabeth Hurley shows her boobs.” So I spent two hours watching a movie I had no interest seeing because I thought maybe I might get about 3 seconds of beautiful Liz Hurley boob action. This is why being occupationally challenged rules. I have the freedom to make ridiculous choices.

In other news, I am in the process of texting my friend (and I use the term loosely) Brad everyday about how I hate the Colts. He is a die-hard Colts fan and that makes me want to throw up. Yesterday's text: "I wish I had a giant asshole so I could fly over Indianapolis and spray everyone with diarrhea." Today's text: "Know what the 'U' on the Colts' helmets stands for? Urinary tract infection. Because they all have them."
If anyone has any other ideas, please, help me out.

Go Chargers.

A bit of ramblings...

Well it has been a pretty nice winter so far (This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago). Lots of snow and powder. It has also been really cold (today it was -5 with a windchill of -25). Speaking of cold, both games are going to be interesting this weekend. Go Packers and Chargers. I will say though that Rivers is kind of acting like a punk. If they could beat the Patriots though, that would be amazing.

I am getting excited for the new Drive By-Truckers album (January 22nd). It has gotten pretty good reviews, and it will be interesting to see what their sound is like since Jason Isbell left the band.

I was going to write a big review of the new Lupe Fiasco album but I'm sick and I don't really feel like doing all the writing. Here is my short review. Lupe Fiasco's sophmore effort The Cool is a good follow-up to his first LP Food and Liquor. You can certainly tell that he hasn't lost his gift of lyrics from his first album. My only complaint is that it seems like for this album he let a lot of different producers make the beats. He could have cut out some of the tracks on the album. I'm sure that it is great to get in the studio with Snoop Dogg but they could have made a better song together. The song Dumb It Down, is a good idea, but the music is not good and the constant repeat of "Dumb it down!" gets annoying. There are some great songs on the album that deserve to be mentioned. My favorites are Superstar, Hip-Hop Saved My Life, Intruder Alert, Streets On Fire, and Fighters. Overall I would give it 4 out of 5.

If you want to watch something really weird on youtube...check this out.

This video is really funny...Chris Bosh, one funny dude. He really wants to make the All-Star team.

Not even a game...4:00 or so left in 4th

Good try...whatever.

I'm done.

Who do I hate?

Pollard...he is a nice version of Jeramy (seriously, that is how you spell it?) Stevens.

14:21 4th

Why do you punt when it is 4 and 2. You are down by 22. Grow a pair. Just go for it, you having nothing to lose except, oh yeah, your season.

Trying to be positive

Well this could be the greatest comeback ever...

Once again...

I hate our defense...super fast, can't stop anything. For the first time I agree with my friend Potter, Trufant sucks. Just do anything, I dare you.

Pollard!

nice (not) catch!

10:25 3rd

I was about to say how much I hate Grant, but cool, the Packers score another touchdown. Once again, this defense has really surprised people. What happened to stopping anything? I hate life so much right now.

Halftime feelings...

Ok well so far I give the Seahawks offense a C+...they did score two touchdowns and a drive for a field goal. One of those drives was from the 2 and the other one was from the 20 or whatever. Other than that they haven't done much. It's kind of like winning the Special Olympics...sure you win win but you are still retarded.

The Seahawks defense gets a B-...they did great for 5 minutes, but then they have done absolutely nothing. I have to give them some credit (or props, as the kids call it) for those first two fumble recoveries but otherwise, have they stopped anything? I think not.

Now to my least favorite team in Wisconsin...

The Greenbay offense...give 'em a big B, they started off terrible (awesome!) and then ended fantastic (son of a b*tch). Those two fumbles right off the bat knock them down a bit. Grant has more than redeemed himself since his two turnovers. Favre has looked like a wizard with his ridiculous passes.

The Greenbay defense...they have done a great job of shutting down the Hawks offense considering the circumstances of their first two starts. I give them an A-. I hate Bigby...damn him and his stupid hippie dreds.

Best commercial...of course I am not biased, but I really like Hasselbeck's story commercial.

:30 2nd

I hate Favre and his under hand throws...I hate everything about him...sweet kick-off return. Go north-south not east-west!

3:51 2nd

This defense looks terrible...Favre is finding everything and nobody can tackle...getting bitter...very quickly

7:20 2nd

How many big hits is Bigby gonna get, damn...every hit is like he got a 20 yard wind-up.

10:24 2nd Quarter

That was a hit on Engram, way to keep the ball.

Seahawks Game

Well it is 13:22 left in the 2nd quarter. What the f*cking kind of first quarter was that? Talk about going from a high to a low. I thought this was going to be the greatest start ever by the Hawks. That is one loud crowd. It looks like Grant has redeemed himself for those two first fumbles. Let's see another fumble. That would be great. It would be nice to see Hasselbeck put together a nice drive here.

4 beers deep

Happy New Years

Well 2007 if over and now begins 2008. I hope everyone had a good time celebrating. I know I did. The fireworks in Steamboat where just like these ones from Sydney. Just like it.
