$10,000 dollars for this
The Seahawks beat the Jets! Glad to see Holmgren go out winning the game. Quick note, when people throw snowballs at you, it isn't always a good idea to throw snowballs back. Just ask Shaun Ellis, he got fined $10,000 for throwing this ginormous snowball.
Snowball! (In case I didn't say that enough times)
Meow!

Snow Watch!
OMFG* it's snowing! AAAAHHHHHH JEOMK** FREAK OUT!!! LOL***
As I am getting ready to go to the airport this morning I have been watching the news and I have to say, great reporting. Genius interviewing with questions such as...
Isn't this just amazing?
Have you been seeing people getting upset?
Have tempers been flaring up?
Isn't this snow deep?
Talk about reaching for a story. As I am watching this I keep thinking of Panda Watch from Anchorman. I couldn't find a video of just that scene so here is basically a run down of Anchorman. The Panda Watch part is at 2:51. The whole video is pretty funny though and does a good job of summing up the movie.

this is awesome...I actually have one of the Eintracht Frankfurt jerseys (it iss the last mannequin, the one that is black and red). This is even funnier if you understand German. We need TV to be like this again, and jerseys.

The Foot Fist Way
The Foot Fist Way is a really awkward but funny movie about a guy who owns a Taekwondo studio. In my last post I put up the clip of him teaching his students some punch/kick combos. This is my other favorite part of the movie, where he breaks up with his wife after catching her cheating on him.
Enjoy

Wish List
I currently am a member of the French gym chain La Fitness...I wish that I was a member of ze gym chain McFit. I wish that I could have this music playing at all times.
Oh the things that I wish for...
I wish for a reunion tour of these guys
Speaking of reunions, I wish these guys would get back together...and also do this song
I wish that this was a real movie...I've been a bad, bad boy, Father.
I wish that this guy will stay healthy next season. By the way, that is Freddy Ljungberg, the new star for the Sounders. Here is what he can do with a soccer ball.

To bad Seattle he is far from the player he used to be. Not that you care about "soccer" anyways.
I wish that Mos Def's new album The Ecstatic will be good like his old stuff.
I wish that the Seahawks are good next year.
I wish that the Mariners are good next year.
I wish that the Sonics exist next year.
I wish that the Huskies would go strong in basketball, and they get just a little bit better in football, even a little bit better.
I wish that all fights were funny, like this

Mark Wahlberg
OK these two videos are for one specific person who looks at the blog. That person is definitely not the sassy lady who sits next to me at work and really likes Mark Wahlberg. Definitely not her.

This was the only comment I could find that didn't say something about how it was a big joke or that Mark and Andy are huge pussies.

Hahaha, whats your IQ. Hahaha. Ya, Mark is just a giant douche isn't he. He followed through with it too. Andy thankfully had a gun when Mark confronted him. Andy shot him... then Andy killed himself.
Murder suicide... live on SNL, shocked the hell out of me.

Guilty Confession... I still totally love Chris Brown's song "Forever"
So tonight my two friends organized a guy's night. We just met at a bar and drank, it was fun, but the whole time before Tanner and I were making jokes from this skit... we thought it was an SNL skit but good job Tanner, it was Chappelle's show.

Turkey Day: The Food
I hope that everyone had a good Thanksgiving and got lots to eat. This year was like many previous ones, I ate too much and felt uncomfortable and didn't want to talk to anyone. All I could think about was how I wanted to take my sweater off and go home where I could lie down in peace and quiet.
The Seahawks game was pretty depressing but not surprising. I think that John Carlson is going to be a stud though. Finally the Hawks have a good TE, now if only every other position could improve (yes, that also means QB).
Everybody has different favorites at the dinner table on Thanksgiving. Some like the turkey, other the mashed potatoes and so forth. I think that the turkey is good but while it is supposed to be the focal point of the meal I think that it does not bring the most flavor. Now when it comes to leftovers however, the turkey is crucial for the sandwiches. Stuffing is delicious, yet when you think about it, it really is just bread that has been ripped up and mixed with spices. There really isn't much to it. Mashed potatoes are delicious as well, I like to mix my potatoes with my peas.
Mashed potatoes are kind of like stuffing though, while they are very good they are also very filling and take up space. I'm not a big cranberry sauce person so whatever you think about that is cool. Gravy is very important and is great on everything, seriously, even the pie. Actually that is kind of gross. Gravy is good though. I realized this year that my favorite food on the Thanksgiving table is the sweet potatoes. They are good covered in marsh-mellows but I prefer them a bit plainer, they have enough sweetness on their own. Now when it comes to pie at Thanksgiving I only like one kind, pumpkin. If you don't like pumpkin pie then you suck at life and should give up at it. Well those are some of the things that I like to eat at Thanksgiving. Oh yeah, huckleberry wine is terrible, it's like cool-aid with a bit of booze but sweeter. Absolutely terrible.

Wow W. Bush!
<
I have been a big fan of John Forte since his first album "Poly Sci" came out. The guy wrote for the Fugees', was on their album "The Score" and released two good solo albums. Unfortunately he went broke and was stupid; here is what has happened to him...
A Grammy Award-winning rapper and music producer originally sentenced to 14 years in prison for smuggling cocaine is one of 16 people receiving pardons or reduced sentences from President Bush.
John Edward Forte of North Brunswick, N.J., a graduate of the elite Phillips Exeter Academy prep school who later became a producer for the rap group The Fugees and released two albums on his own, was caught in 2000 at Newark International Airport with two briefcases filled with $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine, according to court documents.
Not to say this is one of the coolest things that Bush has done...but it is up there. Get another album going!

If you like "The Soup" or Joel McHale at all, this was kind of a funny interview. I like when he talks about quitting the crew team and how he hated his fraternity. I have to agree with a lot of the comments, however, I wish he would have been asked about his time on Almost Live.

R.I.P. Tuba Man
Or: Another reason for Seattle sports fans to play the blues
I know it's been said before, but this is officially the worst year ever to be a Seattle sports fan. That's right, worst year EVER. The Mariners have a payroll equal to Nintendo's entire budget for marketing the Wii and still manage to lose 101 games, the Sonics are gone after 41 years, the Seahawks have fallen so far that they lost at home to the 49ers, UW is in the midst of the longest losing streak in school history, and WSU sucks even worse than the Huskies. And now the the Tuba Man is dead, beaten to death by some punk teenagers.
I, like most Seattle sports fans, distinctly remember seeing the Tuba Man at most of my favorite sporting events. If there is any justice in this world, once they catch and convict the a-holes responsible, instead of sending them to prison, they'll release them into the parking lot at Qwest Field right after the Hawks blow another one. There's a Greek world for what would ensue: catharsis.

Not Just a Video!!
Look! A post that isn't just some YouTube videos! Now the one fan can actually read something on Monday.
I have gotten a lot of new music lately, so instead of writing one longer CD review I am going to write a bunch of shorter ones that are more to the point. I will use a star scale of 1 to 5. Heeere we go...
Trolle//Siebenhaar "Couple Therapy": This Danish duo is a cool blend of reggae, drum 'n bass, and a bit of hip-hop and electro. I give this CD a 4/5. I have been digging the songs Loosing Sight and Sweet Dogs (video below)...the dog has magic piss!
Adele "19": I first head this girl on SNL and I like her song, Chasing Pavement (I would put the video up but YouTube won't let me). So here is the other song I like by her, "Cold Shoulder." Her voice and music style kind of reminds me of Amy Winehouse (minus the drugs and the skin and bones, seriously, Adele looks fat compared to Winehouse). On that note, maybe she is a wee bit chubby. Sorry this video sucks, but the song is cool. I give it a 3.5/5
Bloc Party "Intimacy": I really liked Bloc Party's first album, Silent Alarm. I also saw them in Milan and they were really entertaining. Unfortunately, since their first album they have gotten progressively more disappointing. I don't really know how to describe their new album other than they could do better. I award it 2/5 and it gets no video posting.
Copeland "You Are My Sunshine": I have been trying to like this album more but it hasn't really hit me like their last one, In Motion. There are some good songs, I like "Should You Return", but this album seems a bit too emo or something. Maybe I will eventually get into this one. It gets 3/5
Eagles of Death Metal "Heart On": Generally each rock band puts one song on their album that is a break from their style and they get to use different guitar sounds or use dirty lyrics. The Eagles of Death Metal make nothing but songs like that. They are the kind of music that you have to be in the mood to listen to, they are funny and totally rock 'n roll. Basically, these guys are f*cking cool. Their dummer is also Josh Homme, the lead singer of Queens of the Stone Age. I think the video for "Wanna Be in LA" does a good job of summing them up (it's pretty sweet). It gets a 4/5
Jake One "White Van Music": Jake One is a producer from Seattle (he also went to UW) who has worked with some big names (De La Soul, Nas, 50 Cent) but this is his first album. He makes some pretty good beats. Unfortunately I am not a fan of some of the MCs he uses on some of the tracks. There are some good tunes though, and he does use some Seattle MCs which is cool. This isn't really a video but just a song that I like. Unfortunately, due to the number of crappy MCs I give this album 2.5/5.
Kings of Leon "Only By The Night": I got into this band after their last album, Because of the Times. These guys have good songs for rocking out too (that sounded way lame, sorry). I would post up videos for a couple of their songs but they have disabled embedding which is annoying. Probably my favorite song is "Use Somebody" This band from Tennessee have been drawing huge crowds in Europe while in the US they are not nearly as popular, kind of odd but still good some good rock. This one gets a 4.5/5.
Oasis "Dig Out Your Soul": I have always had a weak spot for these guys since seventh grade. I can't help it, I like the unibrow Gallagher brothers. I thought that they would have to go back to coke do good work but I can put my emotions aside on this one and say that it is a good album. I am a really big fan of the song "The Turning" but they don't have a video for that one yet. Here is the video for "The Shock of the Lightning". I give this album a nice 4/5
Ryan Adams & the Cardinals "Cardinology": I have already written about Ryan Adams and how much I like his music (only to be ridiculed in the comments section, thank you number one fan) and once again I will do the same. Ryan Adams is a brilliant song writer and when he is with the Cardinals he is backed up by some phenomenal musical talent. This album is a great example of both. This isn't a video but a just a song with pics (it does a great job of showing off his "odd" style). The song is "Fix It", Rolling Stone said that it is very U2 like, which I think is dumb (just because you use a guitar that has some echo effects does not mean that it is U2ish). Cardinology gets a 4.5/5
Common Market "Black Patch War": Common Market is a great Seattle hip-hop duo. Ra Scion, originally from Kentucky but now lives in Seattle, is a very good lyricist who sounds a lot like Talib Kweli. The DJ for Common Market is Sabzi, from Seattle, better known for being the DJ of Blue Scholars. I like Common Market alot but this album is a little hard for me to get into. Black Patch War is all about tobacco farmers in the South which I honestly can't really relate to. This album is an off topic for me but I still like beats and the flows. I give it a 3/5. I do like the song "Trouble Is" but I don't really get the video. If I could grow a big beard like him I totally would.
And last but not least!
Snow Patrol "A Hundred Million Suns": Snow Patrol has released a number of hits but I think they are one of those bands where their songs that are never played on the radio are their better stuff. This album is full of great songs with lots of strings, piano, and guitar. There is definitely a space theme as lots of songs are about planets and space travel and sh*t (pretty intelligent huh?) I like a lot of the songs but here is another picture show for one of them, "Lifeboats", of course I pick the one song that is about being on the ocean. This album gets a 4.5/5
Well that pretty much sums it up...not a lot of hip-hop, sorry. I have gotten some other hip-hop albums but I haven't really listened to them enough to write much. In case you are curious though, I have been liking...Michna "Magic Monday" and Madvillain "Mad Villainy" and "Mad Villainy 2". I am getting pretty excited for Novel's album to come out, he already has one song out with Talib Kweli and Ben Folds (interesting combo huh?), "I am."
Just for fun, check out Blue Scholars "Joe Metro" video, how many places do you recognize in it?
I have gotten a lot of new music lately, so instead of writing one longer CD review I am going to write a bunch of shorter ones that are more to the point. I will use a star scale of 1 to 5. Heeere we go...

World Series
As I am writing this is is the top of the in between the 6th and 7th inning. I had great plans to write a big boring post about the World Series but obviously that didn't happen. I will instead just sum up why I am rooting for the Phillies.
I really like the Rays, I think that they are an exciting and young team that gives teams like the Mariners hope. You don't have to spend a ton of money to get a good team. Unfortunately that is not enough to make me root for them. I don't like their fans, they couldn't even sell out a game until the World Series (or something like that) and those damn cowbells are annoying. The Christopher Walken Blue Oyster skit was like 15 years ago.
I am a big fan of Utley, Howard, and Werth aka The Edge...and of course Jamie Moyer, Tanner says he looks like Ryan Stiles, who also looks like this soccer ref.
Well I started this four hours ago but then I had to play soccer. So the Phillies won and this post is now pointless. Anyways, this is why I was rooting for the Phillies, I like the team and they at least have good fans and a real stadium, not some sh*t dome that would have made the Kingdome look good. Although the ray tank in center field is kind of cool.
Go Phillies

I can never post just one thing
While we are on the subject of McCain...
Skylar Deleon, 29, who had a bit part in an episode “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”, faces the death penalty after being convicted of three counts of murder at a trial in Santa Ana.
Oh yeah, he also did this.
Skylar Deleon, 29, somehow got a razor and “tried to saw off his penis” while in his cell on March 13, said Damon Micalizzi of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
“He was unsuccessful,” Micalizzi said. “As I understand it, there was a lot of blood.”
Micalizzi said he did not know if Deleon stopped the effort himself because he could not carry it out to conclusion, or was interrupted by a guard.
Deleon was taken to a hospital, his penis was re-attached, and he was back in his cell the next day, Micalizzi said
If you like Golf at all...
this is funny.
If you hate the Yankees at all...this is also funny. This weekend Joba Chamberlain got busted for drinking and driving after leaving a Nebraska strip club (this happened before the Red Sox got knocked out of the playoffs, yesssssss).
“Too bad you didn’t play for the Red Sox,” the customer said, according to another patron at the club. “Otherwise, you wouldn’t be sitting here in a strip club in Nebraska.”
A furious Chamberlain left, and moments later, cops nabbed him for allegedly speeding in his 2006 BMW 750i. They hauled him off to a detox center after they smelled alcohol on his breath and saw an open container of alcohol on the passenger seat.
Authorities said Chamberlain, who submitted to a Breathalyzer test at the scene, had a blood-alcohol content of .134 at the time of his arrest, nearly double Nebraska’s legal limit of .08.
I think Joba should have made a witty comeback like, "well, if you played for the Rays then you wouldn't be here either."

Da Killa from Wasilla
Since Stefan posted a long and rambling diatribe yesterday, I think I can safely post another video without angering our only reader too much.
Pretty funny shit. Like that one time Stefan and I argued about the merits of using hip-hop to promote positive change in the black community for 50 minutes. Oh wait, no, that was on bloggingheads.tv.

Guilty Pleasure #1
So the one person who reads this blog noted that nobody has actually written anything in a long time. I want the blog's one fan to know that us writers listen. I have decided to start a new segment in the blog, my guilty pleasures. We all have different ones that are embarrassing, I am going to boldly write one from time to time. So to start it off, here is guilty pleasure of right now.
Chris Brown, "Forever"
Chris Brown is a 19 year old entertainer who is know for his dancing moves and dating Rihanna (the chick he is with in the pic). I have never really been into his music at all or even really known who he is. I mean I knew that he gets compared to Michael Jackson a lot (the good pre-touching boys Michael), but nothing more than that. Well my whole world changed last week when I heard his song "Forever" for the first time. I generally don't like pop-dance songs but this song is the shizzle dizzle wizzle (I don't know what that means). The beat and hook is extremely catchy. I don't know many of the lyrics and what I do know isn't that impressive but that is beside the point. Ok, I do know one line that I love, "Baby you can watch me, look what I can do with my feet." Ridiculous, I know. The overall song is so dang catchy though, you can't listen to it and not try and move something. I would post the whole music video but the embedding option on YouTube has been taken down for it. If you want to see the actual video click here. I don't really understand why she jumps off the building but whatever he's got some sweet dance moves. Very Michael Jacksonesque.
Maybe the best thing about the song is that it was originally written for a Doublemint commercial, but then when it was so successful they changed the lyrics and made a full song out of it. Here is the commercial, and yes that is Chris Brown dancing.
After watching that you can't tell me it isn't catchy. If you can tell me otherwise then keep your mouth shut and look what I can do with my feet.
For the one fan...
Thanks for telling me about this one...
oh yeah...if bloggingheads.tv had a penis, danny would be sucking it right now

Don't Wave That Fart!
In this undated photo released by the South Central Regional Jail, Jose A. Cruz is shown. Cruz, 34, who police said passed gas and fanned it toward a patrolman has been charged with battery on a police officer. Cruz, of Clarksburg, W.Va., was pulled over early Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, for driving without headlights, police said.

O.J. Jury
This was a pretty funny skit on SNL last night. Certainly funnier that watching Danny try and go more than 2.4 seconds without watching bloggingheads.tv. He starts drooling and touching himself, but not touching himself where you would think. It's quite awkward.
